Required Daily intake of Milk for Children

The RDI of calcium in the diet for children aged between 1-3yrs is only 500mg & children aged 4-8yrs is only 700-800mg.

This can be achieved by not only providing milk to children, but through many calcium rich foods. The main calcium contenders are milk, yogurt, and cheese, but dairy shouldn’t be the only dietary pit stop to fill up on this nutrient. Leafy greens, seafood, legumes, and fruit also contain calcium and many foods and drinks are fortified with the mineral.

It is recommended that children start weaning from bottle to sipper cup at 1yr of age.
